Well, now, a serious confessions channel for Twinkie Habits Undisclosed! ... undecided: do I? Don't I? Given this relief habit has all the earmarks of "Oh, my God... she doesn't!!!" it's a bit daunting.
And yet, unmasking in public has it's own kick... so... yes, ahem, stalling...
My parallel to the Big Gulp? It's that salacious, drooling reality show: Bachelor In Paradise. The banality of finding love on television is so mind numbingly refreshing, such a blank slate of seriously unserious emotions, I don't even need an empty snack for company!
Ha! You know, I’ve never truly indulged in the Bachelor. I’ve also heard great things about Love is Blind and Love on the Spectrum. It’s a wholesome genre of trash tv!
So... continuing along the same path... I have watched Love on the Spectrum and it's the opposite of trashy: heartfelt, an honest innocence our entire world could use a lot more of... Bachelor in Paradise is the opposite: zero innocence and one wonders how much honesty is just performance...
i have been thinking about you so much as i sweat out this hot summer in new york city. this newsletter had everything i needed. made me lighten up which is also not easy to do. thanks.
What a salty sweet treat of a Stack this is!! I love love love that you’re feeling at home over there after being tugged around. And I bonus love your list! That radio station is such a vibe discovery!! I’m on the hunt for a habitual addiction. I just moved to New Mexico two weeks and some change ago so everything is brand new. A Circle K is a 7 min walk from my house hmmmmmm…..
Haha, well, it's no 7-Eleven, but I do love a Circle K. I want to hear more about New Mexico! I have dreams of becoming Georgia O'Keefe in my later years. What a landscape.
"My waters run both unfathomably deep and shallow as hell."
Woo! That whole paragraph hit me in some way but this line in particular struck a chord with me - I relate so much to this! And I completely get the thing for Big Gulps - it's the perfect metaphor for the (sometimes) wasteful but simple indulgences in life. I was talking to a friend of mine a few weeks ago and I told her that sometimes I want to listen to a rapper like Common philosophize on life and love but a few songs later I'll throw on some complete nonsense rap just to balance things out. I feel like this in so many other areas in my life - picky and snobby about certain things but complete IDGAF in others. This was a good read to get the weekend started!
So glad to hear you'll be back in LA soon! Hopefully I'll catch you out this way at some point and get behind the scenes on your adventures since I last saw you. Safe travels!

What a compliment! Thank you Steph. Hope you are staying cool out there. Strangely, it's been a pretty mild summer here so far.

Hey Rick!! Thanks so much, and I totally relate to it in the context of music too. We can be many things.
And yes! We gotta go dance soon or something. Glad to be back.
There are some good music/dance events coming up later this month so I can keep you posted!
Sounds good!!
Treats are important. Never underestimate the power of a treat. (Mine happens to be tinned anchovies - so no judgement from me!)
That’s so elegant!
Salty.
But it suits me.
YES Sara!
Read this at 4am in bed, scanning my various aches and pains in my feet, wondering whether it’s too early to put your radio station on.
Thirsty work! 😋
This also felt like I’d spent time talking to you. So nourishing!
Thank you.
❤️❤️❤️
So exciting you’re back in Los Angeles this fall! Happy for you. 🧘♀️
Thank you Christina! ❤️
You might really like Utopia Avenue.
That is next!
